New World kicks off Rabbit’s Revenge and a second Coral Divide OPR preview event today

As promised, New World unleashed its 1.3.0.5 update on players early this morning as Rabbit’s Revenge has officially returned.

“Something wicked this way hops,” Amazon says. “Starting April 15 – May 13, Corrupted Rabbits return to Aeternum — twisted, feral, and hungry for chaos. Hunt them across the wilds to earn exclusive loot, including the new Corrupted Rabbit’s Armor set (legs, gloves, boots) and complete your look with the all-new Corruption’s Rabbit Helm in the store.”

If you’re not into slaughtering bunnies, you may be more into slaughtering each other, which is where the rest of the patch comes in. Amazon is tweaking the new Outpost Rush: Coral Divide map ahead of a second preview event that also kicks off today and runs through April 22nd. Changes include touch-ups to fort entrances, environment collision and visibility, lighting, and several bugs too.

Finally, the studio is urging players to link their accounts to a new Amazon Games iD system:

“You’ll be prompted on login to link your account with an AGiD via QR code. This is not required, but if you link your account, you’ll receive some rewards for your effort! Please note that linking your account will permanently tie all game progress and purchases to your Amazon Games iD.”
