Black Desert wrestles with node war problems on console, drops a new Atoraxxion: Orzekea trailer

It’s Black Desert news time again, and this week we’re going to be leading off with BDO Console, but not necessarily for particularly happy reasons. That’s because this week brought some problems to those who engage in the PvP node war activity.

It all began with the MMORPG’s weekly patch, which among other things applied a variety of node war updates to mode stats, DP earnings from certain nodes, and HP of other nodes. Unfortunately these adjustments came along with a gnarly bug that was bad enough to cause node wars to be cancelled for the day while Pearl Abyss investigated the problem. A fix was patched in earlier today and players were given some items as compensation.

The next major piece of news comes from BDO Mobile, which is giving fans an adanced look at several upcoming updates: New Rabam Skills designed to fill in weaknesses for classes will arrive in April 22nd along with 10 more skill slots, grab immunity changes are on the way alongside other class balance adjustments, the Black Shrine will no longer have a time limit but will offer a time attack mode, and tweaks are coming to Black Sun, Nightmare instances, and Night of Vengeful Souls. The post further outlines a host of quality-of-life updates on deck.

As for the MMO’s weekly patch, that makes its own set of node and siege war adjustments (that mercifully didn’t include a mode-pausing bug), opens a new Nightmare fight against Tshira, kicks off several events, and applies a small list of fixes.

Over on PC, this week’s update to BDO is mostly about another series of class balance changes, along with the distribution of hardcore server pre-season ranking rewards, a new boss fight for certain difficulties of Black Shrine – Donghae Solo, and another round of fish guide UI updates.

Finally, during the Galaxies Gaming Showcase yesterday, Pearl Abyss showcased a new trailer for Atoraxxion: Orzekea with a little tease for what comes after.
