I did not get a handle on my fixation with robots.

Do the steely pilots of MechWarrior Online’s giant technological death machines cry real tears? It seems that the developers are trying to find out as they announced that this month’s patch is going to be rolled into May’s release due to “scheduling conflicts.”

“The patch is about 98% complete, but some scheduling conflicts have held us back from finishing and releasing it as planned. All of the April content and changes will now be rolled into the May patch, scheduled for release on May 20th,” the devs said.

They also emphasized that the studio was “100% committed to supporting” MechWarrior Online through this delay while teasing something “very exciting lined up for later this year.”

Readers will recall that back in January, EG7 smacked Piranha Games with a large-scale layoff, blaming what it characterized as MW5: Clans’ underperformance. At the time, Piranha admitted that the “smaller team, there may be some bumps along the way” like “missed dates, smaller patches, or the occasional mistake” but that the team was still “committed to delivering the best experience possible for you.”
