We’re guessing everyone has long since forgotten the news that Elder Scrolls Online is opening up modding supprt on console, but it is indeed still happening with the release of the June update. ZeniMax Online Studios announced last night that downloads will be functional on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 at some point during the week of June 23rd. Addon devs can already begin uploading.

In other Elder Scrolls Online news, heads-up if you’re considering taking ZOS up on its subscription promo; players on Steam, the official subreddit, and the MMORPG subreddit have noticed that the discount is not working properly on Steam and is overcharging folks right now. While some players are already lighting up their torches and shouting “scam,” it looks more like a problem with how ESO interfaces with Steam, and the devs are aware of the issue.

Finally, yes, Bethsoft officially announced the Oblivion remaster today. No, it’s nothing to do with the MMORPG, but if you’re reading a post about Elder Scrolls Online, you might want to see the Oblivion trailer anyhow. Hey, at least they moved on from rereleasing Skyrim!
