Lord of the Rings Online’s decidedly niche PvP mode best thank its lucky stars that it has a developer that cares passionately about this, because it’s translated into ongoing improvements for the Ettenmoors.

In a new letter to the community, SSG Lead Designer Orion talked about how the Creeps vs. Freeps action was going following the announcements of upcoming improvements. “This enduring, and dare we say renewed, vigor for the Ettenmoors is refreshing,” he said.

Orion noted that the 64-bit servers are performing great in the Ettenmoors as larger groups of players clash. Future projects include working on siege integration (which is still in testing), establishing “more tightly integrated gameplay loops,” and bringing back some older elements to the PvP scene.
