The downside of how patches are named in Albion Online is that with an update name like Rogue Frontier, you would expect that even its post-launch patches would be about rogues. Not that the game has classes in the first place, but you can still be roguish! We suppose that using Cripple on spears or Hamstring on swords is pretty roguish in the right context, but using Dark Sphere on the Evensong staff? No, we’re sorry, you can’t be roguish with a staff. Even you, Lord Trab Handsomington the sorcerer, your self-proclaimed “roguish good looks” don’t count. That’s right, hang your head and walk away.
Of course, the balance changes in today’s update to Rogue Frontier are just good for everyone. The aforementioned Cripple has become stronger when it hits its targets, Hamstring is faster to use and slows the target longer, and Dark Sphere gets a notably shorter cooldown. There are other tweaks, too; for example, Sandbox Interactive has nerfed Hellfire Potion’s damage against players to avoid making it too good for builds that have strong crowd control without as much active damage. Check out the full notes for all of the balance changes.
