Did you know that Gameloft, the publisher and developer of multiplayer cozy life RPG Disney Dreamlight Valley, has been around for 25 years? Neither did we (never mind the fact that it apparently has 21 games under its umbrella). Obviously that’s a pretty big milestone, so that means that players of the cute Disney title can net themselves free goodies just by hopping in between April 23rd and 30th, including 25 Birthday Cakes, 250 Moonstones, 2500 Dreamlight, and 2500 Star Coins for free. Who cares why you’re getting free stuff, just get the free stuff, right?
Hopping in might just be the right turn of phrase as Dreamlight Valley has just released the Wonderland Whimsy update, which as that patch name might suggest introduces the realm of Alice in Wonderland to the title. Players can enter a portal to Wonderland to take on various friendship quests, engage in a Cheshire Cat Chaos event, and even make use of an uncrafting station that lets players recycle non-quest crafted items.
In addition, the new patch adds a Garden of Whimsy star path with Victorian-themed goodies, returns the Dreamlight Parks Fest event, introduces a way to upgrade storage chests, improvements to photo mode and player house expansion, and the promise of the Cheshire Cat bringing “a bit of trouble in the weeks to follow the update.”
