Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis fans knew that this day would come. Mostly because anniversaries are, well, annual, but also because the MMO’s April updates were bringing the event. The point is that this week has indeed kicked off the fourth anniversary of NGS with the return of the Halpha’s Super Origin Festival event.
The first part of the event, which runs between now and May 14th, offers up 10 free lockboxes for players to crack in to, free use of the salon, gobs of free items, new urgent quests that offer up new reward boxes, and boosted drop rates and XP earnings. The event is also running alongside a promotional event for new and returning players that offers up even more gear, mesata, cosmetics, and XP.
The anniversary is part of the latest portion of PSO2: NGS’ April content, which also has a second part of the Halphia Lake Counter-Attack urgent quest and a new limited-time quest on top. Either way, it’s looking like the month of April is closing out with a lot of stuff happening in-game.
