Throne and Liberty previews the Illusion Workshop – tmog – functionality arriving in the game on May 1

Illusive.

For fans of particular gear appearances in Throne and Liberty, the good news is that the upcoming Illusion Workshop arriving on May 1st will let you preserve the cosmetic appearances you want. Just use Illusion Scrolls (six for weapons, two or three for armor pieces) to convert a piece into an illusion and use the Mirror Boutique to assemble your preferred appearance, wholly separate from the stats. It’s pretty much a transmog, glamour, appearance tab, or wardrobe system for the game. What could be simpler?

Well, the bad news would be that the scrolls in question are only available for Lucent, with one scroll for 100 and 30 for 2400 Lucent. So all of this fashion will be locked behind something of a paywall, to be charitable. Still, it does mean you’ll get to dress up in just the outfits that you want, so what could be better than that? Doing it for free, yes, we know, it was a rhetorical question. Stop answering those out loud, just make sure to observe the restrictions of armor type and weapon type before assembling your look.
