Throne and Liberty’s modestly named 2.7.0 update has arrived this morning, bringing with it the Loot Goblin festival. No, Amazon isn’t calling you a loot goblin, although obviously as an MMORPG player, you are. The festival is actually a thinly veiled catch-up event that’s meant to help newer players (or veterans with alts).

“Golden Goblins and Golden Goblin Chiefs will spawn randomly throughout the world, including in recently added Talandre zones. Golden Goblin Chiefs have been entrusted with particularly large quantities of Sollant from the Goblins’ stash. A system message will appear when a goblin spawns — so keep an eye out. Hunting Golden Goblins can reward enterprising adventurers with a title, playful morph, Adventure Coin: Loyalty, Runes, Artifacts, Growthstones, Sollant, and occasionally Tier 2 and Nebula item drops!”

Other perks for this patch include some buffs to daggers, UI touch-ups, and stability fixes. Notably: “Roast Honey Apple is back on the menu.”

Downtime began at 1:30 a.m. EDT this morning with an expected run of eight hours, but in fact the game returned to service in half that time, so you can pop in right now.
