What is a man, V Rising fans? A miserable little pile of secrets, yes. What is Oakveil? Yes, it’s the new region that’s being added to the game with the next major update on April 28th, but what kind of region is it? The latest preview on the official site goes into detail about the area, which has apparently largely been ignored by both the Church of Luminance and the Transcendum. Even the ravages of the great war with Dracula had grown over… until the serpent queen Megara took root in the woods and made it a place of corruption and venom.
Megara has cultivated her own small village of warriors into a devoted and lethal force, feeding on the natural life in Oakveil and corrupting it to her preferences. Of course, that will give players good cause to venture in and unlock new abilities and powers by taking out Megara’s minions… but they aren’t going to make it easy for vampires to do so.
