Digital Extremes has pulled together the dev teams of both Soulframe and Warframe to sit around their respective livestream sets and offer up some details of what’s coming next for each multiplayer RPG.
We’ll start with Soulframe’s stream, which offered a look at some upcoming new gear, new plant-like enemies, and more previews of the magic caster staff weapon the devs talked about previously.
It also granted a list of updates arriving for its next pre-alpha build, which include a Crypt of the Circade event that promises special gameplay mechanics, the arrival of a runes and motes system, new secondary sidearm weapons, and the ability for players to leave notes on world trees. Lastly, the stream promised that the July 19th broadcast for the game at TennoCon will provide “the biggest announcements of the year” for the game.
Over on the Warframe stream, fans were also pointed in the direction of TennoCon and its main stage schedule of events and were shown a new event arriving in May known as the Galleon of Ghouls where players can get their hands on some new weapons.
In addition, the stream showcased some upcoming TennoGen and Nightwave cosmetics and outlined a variety of incoming quality-of-life updates for things like arsenals, archon shard removal costs, and loadout access. Both livestreams can be watched below if you’ve got a couple of hours to kill.
