As the header image no doubt implies, the next seasonal event in Fallout 76, the Big Bloom, will involve some bugs. Giant, dangerous, kinda gross-looking bugs. But the developers only want those kinds of bugs, not the kind of bugs that ruin your gameplay experience, which is why Bethsoft has delayed the event until May 6th so that it can deploy a fix alongside the seasonal event, thereby ensuring that everything is working correctly.
According to the announcement, the development team got plenty of reports of instability and trouble during the Mothman Equinox, and that’s not something that anyone working on the game wants to turn into the standard moving forward. The hotfix should correct a number of issues – and perhaps most importantly – ensure that players only have to deal with the right kind of bugs during the Big Bloom. The kind you place a large amount of ammunition into, not the kind where the game doesn’t work right or you get stuck on quests. That kind.
