Wuthering Waves brings a new content patch, an anniversary celebration, and a Steam release

Wuthering Waves has not been hurting for storefront releases; it’s on iOS, Android, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. But now it’s on the biggest daddy for PC games: Steam, which is part of the multiplayer RPG’s wider new content update.

Version 2.3: Fiery Arpeggio of Summer Reunion introduces two new stories to complete, two new five-star characters and their associated weapons, new tactical hologram challenges, new phantom echoes, and a wide assortment of events including those marking the game’s first anniversary, the rewards of which ended up being rather disappointing for most players.

That bit of grumpiness is indeed reflected in WuWa’s Steam reviews, though the vast majority of them are currently effusive enough to lift the title up to “very positive” at the time of this writing. Looking at concurrency on the platform, things appear to be reasonably busy as well with over 13K players online right now. But that’s just a facet of its wider reach because, again, this thing is on pretty much every platform.
