Have you played through Star Trek Online’s newest episode yet? If you have, then you might want to check out the first part of a community Q&A covering Axiom — including an introduction to the DECA team that’s now handling this MMO and how it’s connecting to the old guard from Cryptic.

The new team said that it’s collaborating with former Cryptic staff to create cohesiveness in the ongoing storyline: “When Cryptic passed the mantle to us folks here at DECA, one of the things we discussed internally and something we felt, and continue to feel, very strongly about was the importance of continuing their legacy — and this means concluding the current story arc in such a way as to remain true to Al Rivera and Paul Reed’s vision of what that story was about.”

DECA did say that it made one change from the previous plan for this arc, which was to add an additional episode into the mix. The team discussed the process of making a new episode from scratch, the design of the Aetherian race, and why there’s 1337 speak present in this episode.
