It’s good news and not-so-good news over in the world of Path of Exile, as a new feature is available for players to use in the original OARPG while the early access sequel experienced yet another stumble as it attempted to make adjustments.
We’ll begin with Original Flavor POE and its upgraded private leagues event feature. As we reported previously, this event effectively lets players put together their own leagues with newly available selectable base leagues and additional modifiers like increased monster damage, reduced player stats, or no rare drops among others. The new templates for private leagues will only be live until May 30th, but until then, have fun. Assuming that’s one’s idea of fun, anyway.
As for POE2, the game was planning some changes to loot that would include improved item rarity for more challenging content, drop protection for unique bosses, and better shinies in a variety of different chests. Unfortunately that patch had to be rolled back shortly after deployment over a bug that was eating skill gems. The update was redeployed a day later, albeit with a slight hitch in ladder progress, and Grinding Gear Games explained the cause of the bug while admitting that the length of time for the fix to be applied was “unacceptable.”
