Lord of the Rings Online further postpones Update 44.1 and the Sting 64-bit server

If there’s one constant in Lord of the Rings Online this spring, it’s that there’s no consistent schedule for this MMO and its releases. In the latest of a long series of delays and schedule shuffling, SSG announced that it was moving the opening of the 64-bit Sting US server (again) to May 14th alongside of Update 44.1.

Apparently, this was decided abruptly on Friday shortly after the weekly dev livestream went out, requiring the video be taken down as the new developments invalidated what was said.

“Unfortunately some issues have come up since that broadcast that have made the information shared incorrect,” the game’s CM said. “We have decided to shift out the date for the opening of Sting and the release of Update 44.1 to Wednesday, May 14th. Additionally, the new announced extension of the Anniversary Event is being extended a week further, and will now run until 3:00 AM Eastern on May 27th.”

Speaking of Update 44.1, be aware that the weekly mission wrapper quest progress will be reset when that comes out on the 14th.
