Medieval MMO Anvil Empires shows off UI and environment improvements

If you live in the medieval era and someone came up to you asking for the time, how would you respond? Well, if you’re playing the sandbox siege MMORPG Anvil Empires, you could look at the spiffy new day/night widget at the top of the UI and say, “It’s sun-time! I think!”

Indeed, the Siege Camp team behind this in-development PvP MMO delivered another dev blog last month, showing off more of the progress being made behind the scenes. This includes a time and season widget, icons for damage types, and some welcome improvements to water effects and rock formations.

Wheeeeeeeeeee

“One of the more challenging parts of constructing the world for Anvil Empires is integrating new features across such a large-scale landmass,” the team said. “It may seem simple, but natural elements like rivers — particularly transitions into other bodies of water — can be quite labour-intensive, especially when working at such a large scale.”

Siege Camp is still allowing signups for the ongoing playtests through the Steam.
