Tinkerlands is a cute new multiplayer survivalbox sailing into early access May 23

Retro survival sandbox fans, we’ve got a new contender for your attention this week with the impending arrival of Tinkerlands, a multiplayer title that studio Endless Coffee and publisher HypeTrain likens – accurately, in our view – to Terraria, Necesse, Core Keeper, and Forager. Not to be confused with Tinkertown, which is another one of these cutesy retro survivalboxes, Tinkerlands promises four-person co-op, settlement building, 20 unique biomes, sailing, crafting, fishing, farming, cooking, and of course, mobs and bosses to wreck.

“In Tinkerlands, players take on the role of a shipwrecked survivor stranded on a procedurally generated island within a mysterious archipelago. To survive, they must gather resources, craft weapons and tools, farm, fish, cook, and build a settlement – all while gradually uncovering the secrets hidden across the islands. The ultimate objective is to repair the ship, set sail to new, unexplored territories, confront unique enemies and powerful bosses, and rescue the missing captain.”

Early access is slated for May 23rd, but you can slip into the demo on Steam right now if you’re impatient. The trailer is tucked down below. Did we spy an underwater map?!
