Our readers know by now that BitCraft will be pushing back its early access release from May 29th to June 20th in order to make way for some gaming gorillas. Even so, Clockwork Labs is making sure it stays under the spotlight for just a bit longer by posting its patch notes for early access ahead of time.

The new build, which the studio is effectively calling Beta 1, leans against three core pillars as the sandbox moves from its alpha state: addressing core system issues that cropped up in alpha, eliminating so-called “quit moments” in terms of progress and usability, and expanding on what players can build and customize.

Those foci certainly seem to be reflected in the notes, including a rework of core combat stats, an overhauled world map that provides more information about things like empires, added tasks for non-profession skills, and better onboarding to explain things like combat, traveler NPCs, and the marketplace.

The notes also confirm the addition of advancement up to Tier 10, two new biomes, buildable town banks, additional monsters to fight and animals to hunt, and a new wonder resource that acts as a landmark and a place to find rare materials. There is also a long list of fixes to note as well, so while these details won’t likely pad all of the time between now and June, they certainly can at least set some expectations.
