Trove’s community letter for the month of May has arrived, and while the front chunk of Gamigo’s address is mostly just recap of spring event content you already knew about, the back half actually focuses on player-submitted questions – some of which we’ve been curious about ourselves.
For instance, Gamigo tells players that it’s working on a new class for the blocky sandbox MMORPG, saying “it’s more of a ‘when’ than an ‘if,'” though it doesn’t clarify what it could be other than suggesting it’ll be similar to the Bard and Solarian, which “brought unique playstyles.”
The company also says that it doesn’t have plans to add cross-platform play or account linking, that the next tier of gems and rings are “planned for future content patches,” and that clubs (guilds) are due for some upgrades like higher member caps and new fixtures. (Fixtures are basically PvE buff statues that clubs can place in their club worlds.)
Finally, the studio reiterates that it’s working on the game’s infrastructure to secure its future. In response to a (fair) question about limited comms and performance issues, Gamigo answers the second question but not the first:
“Improving Trove’s performance has been a top priority for us. Last year, we decided to invest heavily in stability, upgrading hardware and optimizing visual effects across the board. While this meant scaling back a bit on content, we believe these improvements are essential for the long-term health of the game.”
