Studio Wildcard has altered the roadmap. Pray it doesn’t alter it further. Or expect it to be altered again because that’s kind of what this studio does rather frequently. Either way, certain content updates for ARK: Survival Ascended have indeed shifted dates around a bit, so we’re here to let players know.

First off, the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.5 will now release on Monday, June 2nd. Wildcard promises that its engineers are “bringing it over the finish line” and that the wait will be worth it, as it brings “immediate performance benefits including enhanced rendering and faster load times” as well as tweaks to make the game’s download size less titanic.

This June 2nd update will also come with some content on top, including an anniversary event, new tilesets, an egg incubator, and a new island called Lemnokis for the Astraeos map. This new island promises multiple biomes, the game’s first duo miniboss in the form of gas-spewing boars, and new deep sea areas to explore.

This shift in the UE5 upgrade patch also means that the scheduled Ragnarok map release for ASA is also being pushed back to Wednesday, June 18th. Players can look forward to the fan-favorite map, a new battle pass, and the addition of bison.
