With Elderwood finally live, Palia’s dev team is finally piping up about the roadmap into the future. No, it’s not the roadmap itself, but it’s a little tease about what’s on it – and when to actually expect it. June. It’s coming in June.
Singularity 6’s post teases new quests in Elderwood (including what sounds like a treasure hunt and the quest line for unlocking courier pets if you didn’t buy the founder pack), new plants for housing, more storage, new plushies and other cosmetics, and perhaps most excitingly, animal husbandry.
“And in the Palia Development Roadmap (beyond patch 0.192), get egg-cited to be introduced to some cuddly new friends; and for once, we’re not talking about new Plushes. We’re udderly excited to keep the moo-mentum going and deliver on one of your most highly-requested gameplay features: Animal Husbandry!”
Worth a quick note: While we don’t have hard numbers for Palia on the Switch or on either of the new consoles it just launched on, we can suss out the Steam numbers as the game’s peak concurrent shot past its original Steam numbers, holding over 17,000 players simultaneously yesterday when the expansion launched. Earlier this year, S6 told us that the game had seen six million players in its first two years of beta – a number that is surely soaring higher now.
