Not quite a year ago, Perfect World’s Hotta Studios announced yet another multiplayer gacha game, this one with an even more ridiculous name than usual: Neverness to Everness. It had a bit of an anime Shadowrun vibe, with an mysterious urban setting and lots of “anomalies” to keep the routine of racing, shopkeeping, playing house, and fighting spicy. Since then, the game has been tiptoeing through beta in China, demonstrating even more emphasis on social gameplay and amusing plotlines.
Well, soon we won’t have to paw through Chinese press releases to suss out the game, as Hotta announced today that it’s opening up signups for a global beta.
“Hotta Studio is thrilled to announce that NTE is now officially opening recruitment for its first global Closed Beta Test – Containment Test,” the studio says. Signups are through a questionnaire on the official website, though we don’t know exactly when this beta will run. Note that there’s a preregistration button as well as a beta button.
In conjunction with today’s announcement, Hotta dropped another video “offering a closer look at the immersive city of Hethereau, where players, as Appraiser, can explore together with their companions in a supernatural-infused urban environment.”
