Warborne Above Ashes nears the end of its 21-day Total War test while addressing ‘strategic depth’

wah!

War! Huh! Good God, y’all, what is it good for?! Testing every aspect of Warborne Above Ashes, it turns out (say it again!), but that’s coming to an end very soon. The game’s test servers are all approaching a point of settlement and closure at their 21-day cycle end, but that doesn’t mean the game is going away, just that the feedback from players is being taken into account and changes are being made before the servers open up once more for a new 21-day run of warfare.

So what’s changing? The queue system, for one thing; the number of active fronts, for another. Players should hopefully be given a reason to fight over and have victory decided by more than just control of the Forgeheart. The developers are also promising to closely monitor server participation and overall war progress once the game launches, so expect more conflict there. Check out the full schedule and rundown for more details as the “Total War” test prepares to wind down across all servers.

MOP’s Sam tested the game for our Fight or Kite column last week, finding it fairly close to Albion Online in gameloop – and hitting a sweet spot for PvP fans looking for something more RvR-like and structured.
