If you’re the sort of person who would like to turn Dune: Awakening into Calladooty Shootymans, then look no further than the Trooper, the combat school that never met a gun it didn’t like and the focus of the survival MMO’s latest showcase video.
As readers might have guessed by now, the Trooper is all about ranged combat, with several portions of its talent tree devoted to increasing attack power at long ranges and improving agility with heavier weapons. Of course the class isn’t just about finding the biggest gun possible and pulling the trigger, as it also has a gravity bomb that slows down foes, a throwable explosive drone, and a zipline ability to maneuver into higher firing lines.
Once again the video closes by noting players can (and should) learn from other combat school NPCs in order to build a unique Trooper, but ultimately this school is most definitely about that ranged combat life, so theorybuild accordingly.
