WRUP: We found the last number edition

numbers

Good news, everyone! After the highest known prime was discovered on October 12th, 2024, by Luke Durant, it was assumed that it would take a long time to discover the next one, but I solved it and actually did one better by confirming that the new number is also the last prime number. Everything else is just a factor, so you don’t need other numbers. Math’s over! You can all go home.

Oh, you want to know what the number is? Yeah, it’s called “ultrafour.” You might say that four isn’t even a prime number, and to that I say: Shut your mouth. Who writes the What Are You Playing introductions around here, huh? You want to go, mate? You want a mouth full of chiclets? Wanna go for a donnybrook? Want to play a few rounds of the old ultraviolence? Yeah, that’s what I thought. The last number is ultrafour, I discovered it, and now math is done. Oh, don’t you get up, physics boy. I can explain dark matter next. You want that? Yeah. Sit down. Get comfy. Get ultrafour comfy.

Bonus question: What’s your favorite kind of fruit?

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna.bsky.social, blog): Help I have fallen down a Palia-shaped hole and… actually I don’t want help out. I’m fine. I like it here. New hyperfixation just dropped, etc.

Mandarin oranges. Straight out of the can. Heaven. Bearing in mind my allergies mean I’m limited to canned and cooked fruit, though.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes.bsky.social, blog): Pretty much the same thing as I was doing last week: Tower Unite hangouts, some Final Fantasy XIV idling around, and I might be able to string my husband into my Lost Skies adventures. We’ll see how well it works out.

Bonus: Pineapple. I’m pretty basic that way. I also like it canned but primarily that’s because processing pineapple from scratch takes tools and skills that I do not possess. And besides, I’d rather just grill pineapple as fast as possible.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): I’ve got some Warframe stuff coming up soon along with the usual FFXIV keeping up, but I really want to try to get some more time on a couple of single-player projects this weekend. It’s been a tough week.

Realistically it’s probably either cherries or grapes, but I think generally people undervalue blueberries. I like a lot of fruit, but berries and similar small-single-bite fruit tends to just hit right.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I’m away for a good chunk of the weekend, so I’m trying to see if I can make enough space on my Macbook to install World of Warcraft for my MMO fix. When I come back, I’ve got to skeet around to The Elder Scrolls Online, Lord of the Rings Online, and Palia to at least touch base with each.

Sam Kash (@samkash@mastodon.social): I’m going to play some Sunderfolk tonight which is really exciting. Then I’ll continue playing through Nine Sols as well. I still kind of hate the main power mechanic but other than that it’s pretty cool. Warborne Above Ashes is pretty fun too so I’ll continue through that!

Bonus: I love fruit. I literally eat 60% of my diet as fruit. As I’m writing this I’m eating some mini watermelon and a fruit shake of what I had on hand. Today it’s papaya, golden berries, strawberry, and some beets. I also love beets. My favorite fruit, since I have to pick though is certainly watermelon. I am the fruit man.

Tyler Edwards (blog): I’m trying to level up my season pass in New World, but I’m not feeling super enthusiastic about it, so I might also fit in some Overwatch 2 Stadium or one or more Age of Empires titles.

Bonus: I enjoy a good kiwi now and then. I like that you can eat them with a spoon. Mangos are delicious, but too messy. Honorable mention to strawberries.

Every Saturday, join the Massively OP community and staff for What Are You Playing, our roundup of what MMORPGs and other games we’re hoping to play this weekend (with a bonus question or two for our amusement). Tell us what you’re up to! Go off-topic! And don’t forget to have fun!
