Pax Dei elaborates on recently showcased stat and item additions coming in Verse 3

Apparently players of Pax Dei had some thoughts and questions after Mainframe Industries dished about new gear and related stat updates coming in the Verse 3 patch. That discussion has thus brought forth some additional context about these system changes on a more granular level.

Here’s a list of some of the tidbits shared in this follow-up:

  • Spirit (the magic spell resource) will be separate from stamina.
  • Healing staffs will have a left-click light attack but are best leveled in groups.
  • Sigils will still be needed to craft new items.
  • Combat XP will be shared with all party members in a group and will be granted for all equipped items.
  • Shields and two-handed weapons can block, while staffs and one-handed weapons cannot.
  • Heavy armor and weapon durability are increasing while a larger durability rework is in progress.
  • Loot tables will be rebalanced.
  • Gear will now have minimum combat skill requirements, and combat skills scale an item’s power, meaning locking down a role will matter more. That said mixing and matching gear pieces and weapons will still be encouraged.

The studio promises a follow-up dev blog that will outline Verse 3’s changes to crafting as well as a potential Q&A in the official Discord sometime later. For now, this new FAQ-like post might fill in some blanks.
