‘There is still a road ahead and lots of content to add,’ Equinox Homecoming boss says

It’s been two weeks since Equinox Homecoming, Blue Scarab’s horse mystery MMO, trotted into early access, and it’s been a rough couple of weeks through which we’ve been holding our breaths to see what will happen next. Blue Scarab apparently has a plan, however, to shore up the game’s rough spots and address the low player concurrency, and that plan appears to be to buckle down and do the work required. Indeed, Equinox boss Craig Morrison says that player feedback so far as already helped the team hone what its first priorities should be.

“In general, we will alternate between doing regular small bug-fix and quality-of-life updates with larger content drops every few months,” he says in his new developer video, though the team isn’t sure how long the title will stay in early access. Right now, players can play through all of the first act, engage in 10 horse races for solo and groups, and take advantage of the scenic riding features. The devs, meanwhile, are working on act two and continuing riding animation and gameplay efforts.

“It’s been a wonderful community so far, as we hope to see that continue as we expand the number of people playing the game,” Morrison concludes. “There is still a road ahead and lots of content to add and lots of things to polish, but we genuinely want to do this in partnership with this community so that this would we are creating becomes somewhere we can all consider a home away from home for many years to come.”
