Post-apocalyptic MMO shooter Pioner shows pre-open beta gameplay trailer

In the grim post-apocalyptic future, odds of survival are so slim that people have taken to eating spare vowels out of titles. But Pioner endures even so, and this “socially driven MMO” has a new one-minute gameplay trailer to share. Spoiler: Everything in this future looks a bit dirty and deathy.

Serbian developer GFA Games said that it wanted to show some of the PvE and PvP combat, as well as a couple interesting new biomes, prior to the title going into open beta this summer. The hope past that is to get Pioner to launch in 2025.

Pioner is a Soviet-era “MMO shooter” that takes place on a fictional island and has a greater focus on realism (the devs are “replacing traditional health bars and levels with immersive mechanics”).
