Lynked Banner of the Spark debuts two new trailers that highlight pastoral and combat gameplay

While much of the braying and honking in video games has been coming out of Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Games Showcase, there are some comparatively smaller but no less important showcases that should get your attention in the Summer of Not E3. Specifically, there’s the Wholesome Direct and Future Games Show, and it’s these two premiere-filled events where the comfy “rogue-life RPG” Lynked: Banner of the Spark provided two new trailers.

The first trailer from Wholesome Direct unsurprisingly zeroes in on the more pastoral gameplay that Lynked offers, from gathering to farming, fishing to chatting up townsfolk. A great deal of the trailer’s time also highlights the collecting of Bitibots, which are used to help populate the town and open up services, building, and upgrades.

The Future Games Show trailer, meanwhile, encapsulates a little bit of everything, blinking back and forth between animated segments and gameplay peeks, with a little bit more of a highlight on the roguelike combat, though it doesn’t ignore the other facets of the game either. Both videos waiting below should provide a little more insight into the game that MOP’s own Colin ended up enjoying in his hands-on preview even though roguelikes aren’t his thing.
