The new 3v3 arena combat map in New World does not have a name, even though it’s going to be available for players to try out starting on June 17th through the 23rd. Obviously, the hope is that players will help name it, even if your first instinct for a name will probably be “that place where it’s awesome being ranged/it sucks because I’m not ranged,” since the map is larger than normal and thus gives ranged characters an early advantage.
Don’t get too hyped about that, though; the ring of death also closes faster than usual, so ranged characters will lose that advantage and find themselves funneled into the melee sooner than they might expect. Once the preview goes live, the community team on Discord will be working with the community to choose the name, so take part in the public preview and check out the whole video just below to see how the map has come together.
