Summer Game Fest was the stage where a bunch of games unveiled their release dates, and one of those games was Mecha BREAK, the multiplayer PvP mech battler by Chinese developer Amazing Seasun Games that we started covering last year. Thanks to the show, we now have a splashy new trailer that heralds a release date of Tuesday, July 1st, for Steam and Xbox.
For those who don’t recall, Mecha BREAK pits players in 6v6 team fights or 3v3 deathmatch battles in a variety of customizable mech suits that feature a wide assortment of playstyles in aerial or ground combat, along with the PvPvE extraction mode Mashmak where players can get their hands on arsenal upgrading materials, provided they escape.
The studio is also taking feedback that came from its February open beta to heart with a variety of confirmed changes. Adjustments of note include the removal of mods from 6v6 and 3v3 modes, more customization in the hangar, the option to skip the tutorial, and the ability to use 12 different mechs right from the start.
In addition to these changes, “major reveals” for the game’s launch are promised by Seasun during a livestream on Monday, June 9th, on either YouTube or Twitch.
