Last month we first got word about DC Worlds Collide, a self-described “mobile squad RPG” where players can assemble their favorite teams of heroes and villains, then control them in turn-based combat in various single-player and multiplayer game modes. But what do those game modes look like? This new trailer should answer that question. At least a little bit.
The overview referenced in the trailer’s title is more like a synopsis: It grants some brief peeks at the game’s combat, characters, upgrade systems, and modes: It doesn’t go over them all, but it lauds 12 game modes that players can engage in that include narrative-focused Main Stages, the Convergence Crisis mode that locks players into specific teams, the 5v5 Warworld PvP arena, and cooperative League Challenges. We should point out that some of these modes appear to be minigames, like decorative bunks or an identity guessing game.
As overview trailers go, this one is a bit less informational and still more sizzle reel, but if nothing else, it can give gamers a peek at what’s going on with this one. See for yourself below.
