Lost Skies adds new biome and assets to its island creator, releases a fourth hotfix for the survivalbox

We like the early access airship exploration survivalbox Lost Skies well enough ’round these parts, or at least MOP’s Chris did during his run of the game for Choose My Adventure. So we’re always happy to see some updates applied to the game, though the bigger one is mostly directed to its standalone Island Creator tool, which got a big ol’ injection of new things for players to muck around with.

The patch introduces the new autumnal Midlands biome along with over 200 new assets for players to use, including new ruins and a new type of puzzle for players to leverage. The creator has also seen improvements in general thanks to a Unity 6 engine upgrade and more frequent auto-saves every 15 minutes. Since this free utility lets fans of the sandbox explore player-made islands in the game proper, it all links back around to the early access title.

Speaking of that early access, the fourth hotfix that brought several promised additions went live as scheduled, bringing with it several bug fixes, two new weapons and over 20 new ship decorations, and a better distribution of goodies across the various treasure chests hidden on the game’s island.
