The Daily Grind: Are you pro-cape or anti-cape in MMOs?

One of the fascinating bits of City of Heroes’ history is that this superhero MMO originally launched without the ability to equip capes to your costume. That was added shortly thereafter and was a Big Deal for a while there. But for me, I didn’t really care either way.

You see, I don’t like capes in MMOs. I really don’t. I think they look weird, are hard to animate in a believable fashion, and obscure all the rest of the armor I’ve worked to attain. So given the choice, I disable cape visuals and get on with my life.

Let’s see if there are any people on my side this morning! Are you pro-cape or anti-cape in MMOs? Do you love wearing a flowing blanket on your back or would prefer to go without, thank you very much?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
