You might not realize it, but Star Wars Galaxies rogue server SWG Legends is actually first out of the gate with its Independence Day celebrations this year. Of course, it’s called Empire Day or Remembrance Day in-universe, depending on your faction, but it’s no coincidence that the fireworks-studded showcase of patriotism runs throughout early summer, and it’s back in SWGL as of this week.
This year’s version of the event includes new badges, posters, and rewards, both freebies and on the quest token vendors. The patch concurrent with the release of Empire Day/Remembrance Day also overhauls the seasonal vendors for PvP as well as for pretty much every other major type of game content, for a total of 160 or so new items in the game. Most notably, we spy four new armor sets, nine new vehicles, and three new houses – including the ol’ AT-AT house and the Muunilinst Relaxation Pool, finally.
Meanwhile, the player-run staff at Legends is also gearing up for a wild Pride event this coming weekend. “Citizens of the galaxy, gather your dancing boots, put away your lightsabers, and power up those droids because our annual Pride Party is about to jump to lightspeed in Stormforge Outpost on Lok,” the devs write. There’s a long list of events on deck starting at 2 p.m. EDT on Saturday, June 21st, including a pop quiz, dancing, a rainbow scavenger hunt, and even a drag show titled The Force is Fabulous.
