A recent Black Desert tweet using the creepy Black Spirit mascot got me wondering why more MMOs don’t have mascots. I mean, BDO deploys the Black Spirit as an anthropomorphic (blobbopomorphic?) ambassador for promotion. It’s cute, it’s weird, it’s funny. It’s the Gritty of MMO mascots. MapleStory’s PinkBean is pretty fun too. So is Valheim’s Rocky!
