Star Wars The Old Republic executive producer promises ‘concrete details’ on the long-delayed story… soon

A Jedi may have deep reservoirs of patience, but the wait for new Star Wars The Old Republic content can drive even a master insane. Fortunately, SWTOR fans were given a glimpse of their future with this past week’s Q2 2025 executive producer letter — and a hint of the long, long-awaited story content to come.

Broadsword EP Keith Kanneg reviewed the studio’s 2025 accomplishments thus far before teasing projects to come, including an upgrade to DirectX 12 (which is being tested internally) and improvements to the Rattataki race. He noted that the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event is coming back on July 8th with new rewards, followed by Game Update 7.7.1 later this year.

And while Kanneg didn’t spill the beans on a date or when SWTOR players are getting the very delayed story missions, more information on these are coming soon: “I know many of you have been asking for updates on the story content and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your patience. I am happy to say that we will have concrete details of the release of Galactic Threads and Master’s Enigma in our upcoming 7.7.1 livestream, so we are looking forward to sharing the story roadmap with you all then.”
