I bet when most MMO players think about mounts, their brains inevitably go to flying mounts and flight specifically. It just makes sense: flying effectively unbounded by a vertical axis is fun as heck. It’s the dream in an open world, right?
And yet, not every MMO has flight – and many of those have an epic ground game, too. I’m thinking of things like super speed or super jump, gliding or boating, or even just sweet vehicles. Or how about crafted critters as mounts? You could also consider mapping or teleporting to be non-flight travel.
