Are you ready to become the hero of your own anime? I mean, outside of that dream you had one time that your friends really, really wish that you’d stop describing in great detail? Then get thee hence to two paragraphs below, as the new studios behind the upcoming Blue Protocol: Star Resonance put out a video that does double duty as both a promotional trailer and a Japanese music video.
And just like that dream you had that we’re not sick of hearing about, this video features people in white suits lolling on the grass, a day at the beach with lumpy sandcastles, and synchronized dancing around a campfire.
Now, what does this actually tell you about this reboot of a canceled MMORPG that we wanted so desperately that it continues to haunt us into the gloaming hours of the night? Probably that it’s anime in need of heroes. And maybe you — yes, YOU — could be that hero when this game comes our way later this year following the Chinese launch this month, thanks to the Tencent/Bokura, Bandai Namco, and A Plus Japan collaboration. In the meantime, all the video actually says is “closed beta test coming soon.” Welp.
