A few weeks back, I spied a thread on Reddit whose author referred to himself as an “ex-raider.” It leaped out at me because, well, I am an ex-raider too, but I would never have described myself that way way. Lapsed, maybe? It seems such a natural progression, that we raid in MMORPGs when we’re younger and have lots of free time, then as we grow up and take on more real life responsibilities, we raid less and maybe even given it up if the games don’t accommodate us.
But I also sort of assumed someday I might have time and go back to it again. I’m over it now, but life keeps coming.
