Are you ready for “the odd, twisted, and downright supernatural” in your Old West setting? Then saddle up, pard’ner, for a trip through Red Dead Online’s quartet of Strange Tales of the West.
This update landed on Tuesday with an “anthology” of four missions, including Strange Tales of the Plague (zombies), Strange Tales of Modern Science (robots), Strange Tales of the Bayou (swamp creatures), and Strange Tales of the Wilderness (crazy murderers). Red Dead Online is also running a gold, money, and XP boost through August 4th.
There’s even a new trailer – the first for the game in a long time. Multiple MOP writers, including Chris and Ben, have returned to RDO over the last few years, finding it a spectacular MMO that deserved way more than its 2022 maintenance mode. Clearly, Rockstar is cooking now.
This is a good time to jump into Red Dead Online, as the standalone version of the game is currently $10 in Steam’s summer sale, while Red Dead Redemption II (which includes Red Dead Online) is $15 through July 10th.
