Life in Dune: Awakening continues to be challenging, and not because of any intended design. A patch that was put out just yesterday to address a material duping exploit may have fixed that initial problem, but literally a day later, players found another one.
The new exploit, which let players duplicate and fully repair items in order to earn more Solaris, was shared on Reddit “because Funcom refused to fix the dupe until people posted it” according to the OP’s title. While the moderators of the sub removed the post, replies are still discussing the discovery, and another thread shares a screenshot of apparently duplicated spice. “Most of the groups on our server are duping and blatantly showing it off,” the second post claims. “This game is cooked.”
This new duping problem is just the latest recent issue with the game, as players have been experiencing connection problems as well that has locked players in their current maps with no way to move to other zones according to our tipster. It would appear that this matter is being addressed swiftly, at least in the Hagga Basin zone, while Funcom promises it’s monitoring other such connection problems in other maps. And of course, let’s not forget the apparently new method players have found to grief PvEers with ornithopters. Like we said, life in Dune: Awakening continues to be challenging.
We are aware of a few lingering issues since the 1.1.10.0 patch. These include further issues with inventories displaying invisible or broken items and connectivity issues when in loading screens. We are currently focusing our efforts on investigating and addressing these issues.
