Allegory, for those unfamiliar, refers to the idea of something in a story having a metaphorical importance, so a dragon actually represents a kind of evil that hasn’t been controlled over generations or whatever. Not that this is a thing you have to worry about with the latest Moogle Treasure Trove event in Final Fantasy XIV because while it is the Search for Allegory, it means that you are hunting for Irregular Allagan Tomestones of Allegory. You do not have to figure out whether the Garlean Empire is meant to be an allegory for Imperial Japan or Austro-Hungary, for example.
You can do that if you want to, but know that it will not help you acquire any of the currency you use to earn multiple rewards including mounts, music rolls, pets, and a new cosmetic earring that looks like a cup of coffee. Instead, looking at your Mogpendium will give you challenges to complete, and doing so will award the aforementioned tomestones. Then you can buy things. Please do not speculate on what the tomestones are an allegory for. Actually, we shouldn’t have taught you about allegory to begin with.
