The Daily Grind: What *didn’t* you buy in the Steam sale that you thought you would?

OK, smartasses, I know you didn’t buy the vast majority of things in the Steam sale. You know what I mean here. You have a wish list. You at least considered buying a whole list of things. My wish list is 200 games long, and obviously I did not buy 200 things!

I think it’s more interesting to look at what we considered grabbing and didn’t. For example, I talked myself out of Fallout 76, though I nicked copies for my husband and son. I love the vibe of Fallout but not the post-apoc world – I won’t feel joy in there even if the mechanics are solid. I also thought I’d buy Erenshor, and while I didn’t hate it (and actually found it amusing), the demo mostly reminded me why I quit EverQuest a thousand years ago, so I didn’t drop coin on that. I thought I’d get a copy of Rise of the Angry Earth, but I apparently already have it and forgot I owned New World Aeternum on PC, so no need for that. Wayfinder for $10, I’m still on the fence about. Same with Last Epoch!

What didn’t you buy in the Steam sale that you thought you would?
