It’s time for War Thunder players to field some fresh equipment and try not to think about a certain heavy metal song because the band behind it is extremely litigious. Today has brought the online military vehicle battler’s Seek and Destroy update online, bringing with it new maps, new homing missiles, and some new vehicles that can fire said missiles.

The addition that gives this content patch its name is the active radar homing (ARH) missile, NATO codename FOX-3, which introduces some new air-to-air weaponry for players to either fire or worry about, depending on where the missile is. This new homing missile is available to several existing aircraft as well as new jets like the USSR’s SU-27SM, the German F-4F KWS LV, and the USA’s F-15C MSIP II.

Speaking of new vehicles, several have been added across land, sea, and air trees, including Brazil’s AMX A-1A jet, the German minesweeper Bernau “Birdcatcher” ship, and the US XM800T light tank, to name just a few. Several existing helicopters in the game have also gotten an upgrade in the form of fully remade cockpit interiors.

Additional features of the patch include the Mysterious Valley and Bering Sea maps for aerial and naval battles respectively, the ability to fire flares and chaff separately, crew members that heal some of their wounds over time, and a host of quality-of-life features.
