The Daily Grind: Are there any MMOs you regret not playing again when you could?

On no, my ranks.

Game shut down. It’s sad, but it happens. And more often than not when I can see an MMO is going to wave farewell, I make my peace with it in advance. It’s rare for me to get a shutdown notice for a game that I haven’t been back to in a while but that I meant to get back to; either I’m playing to some level already or I’m gone and not coming back.

But that’s rare, not unheard of. I really did kind of want to dive back into TERA at one point, for example, but it went away. And sure, it’s all right, it wouldn’t have replaced any of my main games or anything. But I do kind of wish I had saddled up for one last ride.

This isn’t about the games you’ve left but can still go back to or the ones you left and didn’t miss. Are there any MMOs you regret not playing again when you could? Games that you liked and would have enjoyed having more memories of that are no more?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
