Is NCsoft scaling back its western MMO operations to focus on mobile development? That’s the takeaway from reports at VentureBeat and Gamasutra concerning the firm’s $5 million investment in Canadian mobile maker This Game Studio.
“This is part of our desire to work with some of the best mobile game developers in the world,” said NCsoft senior VP Michael Chang. “You will see us become more active on investments and acquisitions in the West. This is our first exposure to the Canadian game development community.”
