The Daily Grind: What MMO would you play if you were the only player?

Imagine you woke up tomorrow and something very odd had happened in the MMO space: You are the only player. The only one anywhere. Everyone else just doesn’t log in any more. Since this is clearly a fantasy, we’ll also assume that for no readily explained reason, none of the games in question are at any risk of shutting down at all. And let’s also say that everyone has free unlimited unicorn steaks delivered fresh to their door, just for the heck of it.

In this scenario, what MMO would you choose to play? You can play any game you want, forever, for free, no worries about cash shop prices or anything else; you’ll just forever be the only person playing, the lone person running through capital cities and exploring dungeons and experiencing the story. What MMO would you play if you were the only player in the game? Would you go through the stories of Star Wars: The Old Republic? Explore the galaxy of Star Trek Online? Not notice the difference much because you’re queued as DPS in your Garrison in World of Warcraft?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
